The Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) (MECQ is a moderate version of soft lockdown) was reimposed in Metro Manila on August 4, Tuesday. The news came rather a surprise to us. During the General Community Quarantine (GCQ), which lasted for roughly 2 months, we certainly enjoyed a bit more freedom. Now it’s time for us to keep our heads down again and be patient. Hopefully things will look up soon.
During the GCQ, salons and spas in Manila started to cautiously reopen with preventative measures. I thought about going to a salon for a haircut in the last month. However, I never made it to my salon. My hair has grown a lot and at the longest I’ve had in a while, looking like Saruman in The Lord of the Rings. Now all the salons are closed again under MECQ and I lost my chance. I’ll see how long I can keep up with the long hair. I’ll do my best not to chop it off myself.
I am wearing a sheer-back T-shirt with black pants both purchased recently at Zara in the photos. The length of the shorts is perfect for the hot weather and comfortable for my age. The unique design of the shirt makes it fun to wear. It looks like a regular white shirt from the front, but the back with a sheer material and some lace appliqué makes it playful and interesting. Have you been out to summer sales and purchased any new outfits for yourself?
The fight against the novel coronavirus continues. Let’s remain strong and keep positive thinking throughout this period. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.
