My daughters received a doll house from Santa Claus last Christmas. It was placed in their small play room for a while and then finally I moved it into their bedroom a couple of weeks ago.
I replaced a table with two chairs in their bedroom with the doll house. At the same time, I removed all of their craft and coloring materials such as markers, crayons, pens, glue, scissors, stamps, etc. that used to be in the bedroom drawers and moved all of them including the table and chairs to an additional room that were created in downstairs. I will write about this room some other time as it still needs a little more work to look more presentable.
I like having a doll house in their room instead of coloring table and knowing that coloring items are no longer there gives me a bit more peace of mind when letting them play by themselves in the room with their friends.

Hi dear, first of all I’m so sorry about what is happening in your home country, there are no words to describe the tragedy. Hope all your relatives are ok.
Thank you for your comment 🙂

Thanks for sharing photos! That really was a lovely gift from Santa Claus! And I agree having drawing materials out of the room is more practical and less stressful =)

This room would be a dream room for me if I were a little girl. Thanks for sharing the lovely pics.
And on a separate note, I hope your family and loved ones in Japan are all safe. Like what aroundmytable said there are no words to describe this tragedy. My prayers and thoughts are with the people of Japan.

Thank you all so much for kind messages!! @aroundmytable Thanks. I agree. I had no words to describe the tragedy, either. I feel so helpless. @thediplomaticwife Since you asked me, I’ve wanted to do this and I finally got to do it! Thanks for waiting! @Lady J Thank you! You’re so sweet. Thanks for thinking of Japan. I am very sure that Japanese people are thankful to all the kind words they have received from the people from all over the world. @Krystal/Village Thank you! No more coloring on a bed!

I absolutely adore that dollhouse. err…..s it ok for an adult to have one? I always wanted one as a child, but never got it. It was just way to expensive then and very rare. Just love everything in miniature.

I didn’t have one either, so I’m happy that “Santa Claus” was able to give one to them! I love everything in miniature, too!
