TODAY IS THE YOUNGEST
The words by Eleanor Roosevelt “Today is the youngest you will ever be again.” is my mantra. Her words changed my perspective of life when I encountered them. The full quote is as follows.
Today is the oldest you have ever been and the youngest you will ever be again.
In today’s world, it feels like a lot of value is put on youth. I feel that way especially because there are many successful young entrepreneurs who attained their fame in today’s technology oriented world. Yes, it is wonderful to be young. There is no doubt about it.
Everyone gets to have youth. Everyone gets old if you are lucky enough to live long. We can’t go against the stream of aging. You could try to look younger than your age, but to me I do not see the point. I am the youngest I will ever be again at this moment. I do not want to try to look younger than I am because that to me means I am not appreciating who I am right now at this moment.
I have lived my 40th and will turn 41 this year. Here’s the quote that I will send to those who will turn 40 in the future.
Keep looking forward and remember that “you are the youngest you will ever be”.
