Halloween trick-or-treating doesn’t always happen on a Halloween Day when you live in a country where Halloween is not a widely celebrated holiday. Since many people have to travel to the areas where many expats who participate in trick-or-treating for kids live, it often happens on a weekend before Halloween. In our case, our first Halloween event already happened last weekend, the last weekend before the actual Halloween.
Here’s a little peek into a tiny Thor’s trick-or-treating.
We were invited to participate in a trick-or-treating event in North Mumbai. It was really fun!!
I was quite impressed to see North Mumbai. It had a totally different feel to the city as it was a planned community. South Mumbai is very colonial, central Mumbai is very lively and more local, and North Mumbai is very modern and somewhat westernized. I really enjoy seeing different faces of Mumbai.
I hope you’ll have a wonderful Halloween!

Hey, is he your son? He is sooo adorable! And it looks that you guys have a lot of fun at the party. Wish I could attend one, but it’s very uncommon here to have a Halloween party. 🙁

Yep, that’s my boy! They had a lot of fun collecting candies for sure! Japanese people used to not celebrate Halloween, but today it’s been very commercialized and a lot of people celebrate Halloween even in Japan!

Your son is adorable!! And he’s totally rockin’ that costume 😉
I know of one area in Japan that does trick-or-treating but unfortunately, we moved so we can’t attend this year… I wish more people would open up to the idea since it seems like everyone likes Halloween decorations.

Thanks! I agree about trick-or-treating in Japan. I wish more Japanese people would open up to do trick-or-treating! It is a great holiday and I love Halloween decoration. I think there are already so many cute Halloween goods in Japan!!
