Dangwa Flower Market

One of the great things about succulents and cacti is that they are affordable and durable. I have some artificial ones, but I recently acquired some real succulents and cacti for our home in the district in Manila called Dangwa. By the way, Dangwa is in the same area as Dapitan, the whole sale market for interior decors in Manila. Dapitan may be best known as a Christmas Market during ber-months (September, October, November and December). The Dapitan Christmas Market in ber-months can be quite busy and crowded, but if you leave home early enough (get there by 8:00 a.m.), you may beat the crowd.

Even though the potted Succulents and Cacti are small, they instantly created this home feel to our kitchen. I truly believe that decorating home with green brings up the mood.

I purchased succulents and cacti in a plastic case and replanted them into pots. I purchased pots without a hole to drain water. It was more like the pots I fell in love with didn’t come with a hole. Prior to purchasing, I read that you could grow succulents and cacti in a pot without a water drain hole. I will attach a video I saw to help get some tips on how to water them.

Dangwa Flower Market In Manila

Dangwa is an area in Manila where you find many flower shops right next to each other. The prices of flowers there are much lower than the flower shops you find in any places in Manila. The flowers can be expensive in the city center. Dangwa streets looked very pretty with many bright colorful flowers decorating the store fronts.

We walked around to check out flowers. I was fascinated with photo opportunities more than flowers believe it or not.

Succulents & Cacti Shop In Dangwa ☆ My Recommendation

One of the ladies with whom I went to the shopping trip found an awesome store with cacti and succulents. That probably became the highlight of the trip to Dangwa for me. The prices were such bargain that all of us ended up buying from the store. Prices varied depending on the kinds of succulents and cacti. They were so inexpensive that even if you can keep them alive for a couple of weeks (they will for sure), they are totally worth having them. I do plan on keeping them alive for some time, though.

The plants come in a plastic container, so you will have to or want to have your own pots at home to replant them to make them look prettier. You can find pretty flower pots in Dapitan which is only a few-minute drive away.
