Our bed in the master bedroom used to look the same as the one in our guest bedroom.
I had the headboard removed. Then, the wall above the bed used to be decorated with fabric covered frames which I used in the master bedroom in our previous home in Jakarta, Indonesia. The frames did not look quite right in our current master bedroom. There were two things I wanted to do. I wanted the theme color of our master bedroom to be black and white. Another one was that I wanted to decorate the wall without painting it.
Here is the before look.
Here is what I used: the IKEA Dignitet wire and IKEA Britten Nummer Fabric which I purchased prior to arriving in India. I already owned the Britten Nummer fabric which I sewed and used in the play room in our previous home in Jakarta.
Before & After
After
As you can see, the solution was to drape an IKEA Britten Nummer Fabric from the ceiling.
I am quite happy with the new look with the IKEA fabric. It’s simpler than with the fabric I had before and I was able to reuse what I already had.
I hope you like it as well.
