Happy Holidays!
It’s been a hectic, festive, and at times stressful month for us. I cannot believe how fast the month of December went by this year. I hope that you are having a wonderful holiday season wherever you are and however you celebrate the end of the year. Even though New Year’s is more culturally significant than Christmas in my home country, Japan, I have always loved and cherished Christmas since I was a little child. It is a magical time of the year to me and I always remember Christmas in my childhood with my family fondly and the memories are my treasure.
For my husband’s family in Texas, Christmas has been one of the biggest events of a year. Thus, he and I try to do our best to make the holiday season joyful and memorable for our children. We’d like to create our own family tradition of Christmas for our children as we live overseas and far away from our families in the U.S. and Japan. We hope to make good memories together as a family at every holiday season.
Every year on the Christmas eve, my husband reads “The Night Before Christmas” to our kids. Our baby boy was already in his dream, so my husband sat with our girls and read the book. He also read the Elf on the Shelf book. At the end, We bid farewell to our little elf, Elfie.
Till next year!
In the recent past there has been sad news and my heart has been aching for those who have lost their loved ones. The recent affairs have put me in perspective of what life means to me and reminded me of the good I have in my life. I am grateful that five of us are together to celebrate the holiday this year.
Love & Peace

Beautiful photos, Kaho-san. Your photography skills are amazing!!! Tony thought these were taken by a professional. Kai couldn’t believe how big Yn-chan is on the photo. Kai said “Is this Kaho-san’s baby from Okinawa??” Yes, 5 years is a LONG TIME for kids. Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday, Kaho and Family.
Based on your last sentence, I guess there are only two things that are certain in this world, death and change. To brighten your year end, I just wanna share the news, that on Christmas Eve this year, I delivered our first baby. She’s the best Christmas present, EVER! People come and go, some people passed away, some other people were born.
I love the picture of your husband and two daughters blowing their kisses 😀 Very cute.
