Rattan Chairs By ADR Rattan Industry & Repair Shop
Here are our newest additions to our home in Manila: rattan chairs from the Philippines. I ordered them from ADR Rattan Industry. I was first introduced to the ADR Rattan Industry Shop by one expat who referred the shop on a closed Facebook group. It took me several months to finally make a decision to order them. Now that I have beautiful chairs delivered to my home a couple of weeks after having ordered them, I feel comfortable writing here that ADR Rattan Industry Shop is trustworthy and makes good furniture with reasonable prices. The only thing about these chairs is that they are a bit tall. When my kids and I sit on them, my legs under the knees kind of dangle. They are perfect for those who have long legs!
Our family room evolved a little from the day we moved in. Our home always does wherever we make it because making home is a process. You can decorate a room or even a house over a span of a couple of days. However, in reality our needs, preference, and taste change over time. For our family room, I decided to remove the beloved bean bags from this room after I had a lice incident. You can read about the natural products I used to remove lice from my head here. (I know. I’m 43 and still caught lice. Not sure how that happened because none of my kids had it.) The bean bags were the suspect. I could be wrong, though. Now they are placed in our master bedroom where no one but I sit in them. It is kind of a waste, but I know that I don’t have to worry about catching lice from lying around on bean bags.

I communicated by Messenger through Facebook. It worked out fine for me.
Those rattan chairs are the second furniture purchase I made since we had moved to Manila 9 months ago. My first big purchase was a peacock chair.
By the way, ADR Rattan Industry also sells various peacock chairs! You can find photos of their products on their Facebook page.
The photos of our peacock chair and the information on where I purchased it can be found in the following post.
Peacock Chair Where To Find A Signature Piece From The Philippines
I love surrounding ourselves with what we love: the items that make your heart skip a beat. To me that is one of the keys to successfully adapt ourselves in a new home in a new environment. I do look at the interior design trend as well. However, what matters the most when creating a home for my family is to create the environment that is pleasing to our eyes and hearts. It’s not about the main stream way of decorating or owning a hot item of the season at least to me. I pour my heart into creating our home where my husband and our children can feel comfortable and enjoy themselves because that is the base of our happy family life.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment! They were 4,500 pisos (about US$90) each plus a delivery fee of P500 ($10). I hope this helps.
