Now I have this quote on my chalkboard, every time I look at this quote, I feel encouraged. When I feel down or have a hard time in the future, I am sure I will think of this quote by Jimmy Dugan acted by Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own “If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the hard that makes it great.” The quote reminds me of the significance of the hard time.
自宅の黒板にこの格言があるので、見る度に、この言葉に励まされます。これからは、気を落としている時や辛い時など、このトム・ハンクス演じるジミー・ドゥーガンが「プリティー・リーグ（A League of Their Own)」で言った言葉を考えるようになるのだろうと思います。
I found this quote on Pinterest and I pinned it on my “Graphics & Typography” Pinterest board. I find Pinterest quite inspiring and addictive. Since I don’t use instagram, which is probably good for me as I don’t need to spend more time facing a computer screen than I do now, this is my way of getting inspirations besides checking other blogs and reading magazines.
On the photo I pinned, it says by ERIN FIKE Photography. I hope I am giving a credit to the right person. I copied this writing on our wall because I love its quote and typography which I find whimsical and artistic. Mine is not as nicely done as the original, but I tried my best…

この格言をピンタレストで発見し、私の“Graphics & Typography”というピンタレスト・ボードに載せました。ピンタレストにはいつもインスピレーションをもらいます。また、時々楽しすぎて辞められないと感じる事も。私は、このところずっと人気のインスタグラムをしないので（既にコンピューターを使い過ぎなので、多分良い事ですね）、ブログをチェックしたり、雑誌を読んだりする以外、ピンタレストが私にとってのインスピレーションの源となります。
私がPinterestのピンボードに貼った写真にはERIN FIKE Photography（エリン・ファイク・フォトグラフィー）と書いてあります。著者があっていますように。このグラフィックと同じように自分の黒板に真似て書きました。字のタイポグラフィーがとても楽しげで芸術的だと感じました。私がコピーしたのはオリジナルの作品よりも全然奇麗ではないのですが、頑張って書きました。

Hi, I found your blog while browsing looking for chalkboard info. And I must say, your blog is super great! Can I ask you where’d you get your chalkboard? Are you painting your wall using that chalk paint or is it a wall decal? Thank you.
Enja, thank you for your comment! I painted a wall with a water base blackboard paint. Water base is a key because if you use oil base which is for metal, etc, that can ruin your wall in a long run apparently. Any paint shop should have a blackboard paint. I hope this helps!
