This is a quick post about Corner Frame Gallery, formerly known as Pio Del Pilar Gallery Frames. I wrote this for fellow expats in Manila as well as myself because I just learned about it and wanted to keep a record of it for the future use. Everyone needs a frame shop. No? If you are looking for a frame shop to frame some of your photos or posters, you might want to bring them to Pio Del Pilar Gallery Frames.
Corner Frame Gallery Framing Services Formerly Known As Pio Del Pilar Gallery Frames
Corner Frame Gallery Framing Services (Pio Del Pilar Gallery Frames) is a local frame shop in Makati in Manila. My kind expat friend took me there so that I would know where it is. At the moment I don’t have anything to frame, but it is always helpful to know where to go when the needs arise.
I have written about a few frame shops in the past that I used in Jakarta, Glory Frame and Nice Frame. In Mumbai I used to go to a frame shop called Raj Frames, but I never wrote a blog post on it. I have a photo of Raj Frames on my Instagram, though. It is a shame that I didn’t write about it as it would be helpful for other expats in Mumbai and Instagram is not great for archiving information. Instead, I have written about Wood Carved Frame Shops where you can buy cheap wooden carved frames in Mumbai. Those frame shops are fun.
I realize that I have to write about places right away. Otherwise, my photos will never be published. Therefore, here I am writing about Pio Del Pilar Gallery Frames in Manila, Philippines. It seems that this frame shop information is passed down from one expat to another. Unless you know someone who has been here, you wouldn’t find out about it. The shop doesn’t have any sign outside, so even if you pass by, you won’t probably see it.
The manager, Myrna Ibanez Ramos, was the one who helped my friend design her frames. Just by observing how she worked, I could tell that she has a good eye for frame design. She seemed very well experienced as well.

Thanks for the tip Kaho. I needed quite a few frames done and googled away to find your thoughtful note on Myla. I went to see her place and got some business done. It is not a typical exact recommendation of shop, but it is a good one nonetheless. And I would add that it would take an adventurous person to discover such a find. Congratulations!
Myla is professional, she makes good recommendations and charges a very reasonable price. She even gave me an old canvas stretching frome to use for a makeshift green screen I needed to put together for use in Zoom meetings.
Being Filipino, I am embarrassed that I got the tip from a non-native like you. I don’t write a blog myself, but if you live in Makati, I hope I can return the favor someday by helping you out with something.
Thank you again.

It is my pleasure! I really appreciate your input and feedback here in the comment section. This will help other readers. I am so happy to know that this blog post was helpful for you! Many expats I know have already used this frame shop, so I figured it would be good to list it here. Hopefully Myla will keep receiving new customers through this post.

Hello! I am trying to get in touch with Myrna any idea if they are still open?
Kaho says
Thank you for the message. If I remember correctly, but the area Pio Del Pilar recently went into an area specific temporary lockdown. The number listed is their landline, so that’s probably the reason why you couldn’t get in touch with her. As soon as they go back to the normal business, I believe she will be able to answer her business phone.

Great to know! I used them back in February and I’m so glad I had some items reframed before leaving Manila.

I a so sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately, they did not offer an email contact. At least when I was there, this was true. I hope you were able to get in touch.
