Nono’s Filipino Comfort Food
Nono’s is a Filipino comfort food cafe restaurant in Manila. The cafe started with the founder, Baba’s passion for classic confections. Then it evolved into a comfort food restaurant. The airy cafe surrounded by big windows and stylish decor that looks like you are in someone’s dining room feels like a relaxing space to gather for a dining experience. It always excites me to see stylish and inspiring interior design at a restaurant.
Pan de Sal Kesong Puti
Nono’s has an extensive menu. As its catch phrase “comfort food done right” suggests, their food looked hearty. I tried Pan de sal kesong puti since I heard that pan de sal was a common bread in the Philippines, which I never tasted. Kesong puti is a local cheese which I heard was similar to mozzarella. It sounded intriguing. I really enjoyed the bread and cheese with balsamic dressing and tomatoes. I thought it was refreshing.
Since I am in the middle of designing our new home to make it more like ours, I’m constantly looking for interior design inspiration. I really liked their chairs and white marble round table. I also like their wall paintings and lamp shades. I’m not particularly a foodie even though I do love to eat. I apologize to you if this post is lacking comments about the food. Honestly, though, you can get much better reviews of food from various other foodies on Zomato, an app widely used in the Philippines for finding reviews of restaurants. I do hope that this post helps both the cafe and the readers.
