Le 15 Patisserie
Le 15 Patisserie is a little gem in Bandra West. I have heard about it from other expat friends and then I spotted the store as I passed by in a car because the store painted in light baby pink stands out and looks so adorable that it’s hard not to notice.
The other day I had a chance to walk into the store with my friend and we treated ourselves with their cupcakes. They are smaller than the usual cupcake size you find in the U.S., but I find this small size just right. It’s not too much and it’s not too little. It’s a guilt-free size. After I finished eating mine, it left me with a feeling that I could get another one. I find it the perfect time to stop and I need to be better about stopping right there.
I picked a chocolate cupcake and salted caramel. As a chocolate lover, I can’t pass a chocolate cupcake and salted caramel macaroon was to die for. My friend had a red velvet cupcake, which she said was great. There is a small cute eating corner inside the store and we ate our little treats there. My cupcake and macaroon came on a small cake stand. I would love to get this stand for myself!!!
Le 15 Patisserie has a beautiful homepage. The photos on the website are inspirations for any food photography lovers. They offer culinary classes as well. You can learn more about Le 15 Patisserie here.

Oh, yumm!! I am a total lover of cupcakes. Whenever I’m back in the States for a visit, I have one almost every day. Not even joking! The store looks so cute and the cupcakes themselves are making my mouth water. Mmmm. You’re so good for stopping at one though–I could easily eat about six of those!

I have made cupcakes with my helper in India and that’s much cheaper (and the best part is that I don’t have to clean after I make the mess!)! I love carrot cake and chocolate cupcakes. Do you have an oven at home? I have recipes that are easy to make if you need some!

I don’t have an oven… 🙁 But my microwave acts as an okay one. I’ve baked a few cupcakes at home too but haven’t found “the one” yet. I’d love to hear your recipes sometime!
Kaho says
What a convenient microwave you have! I’ll try to send you the recipe to you!

You are such a talented photographer! You really captured the details in this place. They ought to use your photos on their homepage!
I have to say far, far away from pastry shops like this. Otherwise I might find myself there every afternoon choosing at least three treats to take home with me. :o)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I feel that my photos are just mediocre, so it makes me feel very happy when I receive compliments like yours… Funny you said you have to stay far away. I need a zapper on my fridge (and cupboard, too) that will zap me when I try to reach my chocolate bar. Or cookies. Or biscuits.

You got me hooked on the first picture. That red velvet looks delectable. I admire how you took it with a narrow depth of field and the background is gorgeously blurred! I would love to have that mini cake stand too haha!

Thank you! It’s the 50 mm lens. I love it. I can totally see you with the mini cake stands. They are so you!
