Las Flores
Las Flores is a Spanish restaurant in BGC (Bonafacio Global City), Manila. I went to a lunch meeting with Japanese moms and it was the location. One of the moms picked Las Flores. I always love going to group gatherings with Japanese ladies because they pick a great restaurant with lovely ambiance for a group meeting. Your recommendations will reflect on you, so they are always very careful with their choices.
Spanish food is quite popular among Japanese people because of the variety of selection for sea food. What not to love paellas? The lunch set came with an appetizer and main dish. As a group, we ordered two different kinds of paellas. The organizer of our group ordered two paellas in advance since it takes a bit longer to prepare. The food was great! Price wise it was a bit on the higher end.
The interior design of the restaurant was beautiful as you can see. I wished I had brought my DLSR camera! I can imagine that it would be a cool place to come at night just with adults. The restaurant may not be geared towards kids, but I would not say it is not kid friendly. I feel that Filipinos are so friendly with kids that you can take them anywhere.
My favorite part besides the food of course, which you might find weird, was the bathroom. Why? I don’t know if they always have this or not, but as soon as I walked into a bathroom stall, I heard a voice above me. It surprised me at first. Soon I realized that it was a Spanish lesson. I got to learn Spanish phrases (that I can’t even remember now) in the bathroom.

BISTRONOMIA
I went to two other restaurants with two other Japanese mom groups (I know… We love lunch meetings! We have to support each other, you know!) and they were both wonderful! Definitely picture worthy places. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to take photos at those restaurants. It would have been awkward for me to stand up and start taking photos in the situation that I was in, so I didn’t. I don’t take just one or two. I take a ton, so it was not the time for me to do so.
Other Recommendations by Japanese Ladies
However, I will give you the names of the restaurants because you might want to try. The two other recommendations are (I’m sorry for compiling them here!), James & Daughters and Salvatore Cuomo & Bar. I highly recommend both of them for lunch gathering as well.
James & Daughters felt like I was somewhere else. The architecture is gorgeous and the environment felt very serene. It is located near the American Cemetery in BGC. It would be a good and convenient place to go after visiting the American Cemetery. The food seemed like a good mix of western and Filipino food. The desserts were to die for.
Salvatore Cuomo & Bar has an appetizer, salad and drink bar. If you have a business meeting or a casual lunch gathering with friends, it is a really good place to go. Italian is a crowd pleaser and there are many options for vegetarians which is nice. There is something for everyone.

Wow! Manila has so much to offer in restaurants. I can see why you would love this place. Besides the great food, it looks immaculate and so inviting. I love the mixed chairs at tables and the throw pillows for comfort, looks and just adding an inviting look. Your bathroom story is fun! I, too, had the same experience at an Italian restaurant. Thank you for this great blog. Also, love that you have groups of Japanese women as friends!

Manila has a ton of restaurants. It would be hard to navigate for newbies and figure out where is the best place to go to. The restaurant was very inviting. Some seating areas almost feel like a private dining room. Thanks for reading about my bathroom story! Yes, I feel very fortunate that I get to be part of the Japanese groups. Thank you for reading my blog!!
