Lartizan in Manila
Lartizan, just like you pronounce “l’artisan” in French, is an artisan bakery in Manila. There are 6 branches which you can find on the Lartizan website.
When I ate the bread from Lartizan for the first time, I had to ask where the bread was from because it was that good. Then the person who bought it said “Oh, it was from Lartizan in BGC.” I was like “Larti-what?” I think some long-term expats forget that when you first arrive in a brand new city in a foreign country, your ears are unable to catch any words that sound foreign. I didn’t want to keep bothering her and I figured if it is a famous place, I will hear about it. Sure enough I heard about Lartizan from several other friends.
This is the post for those of you who do not know about Lartizan. The Lartizan bread is made with unbleached flours that are free from chemical additives. Their bread tastes great and are also healthy. I always like buying food that is made with less chemical if possible.
If you live in Manila, you probably know that Paul Boulangerie et Patisserie has the presence in Manila. I love Paul, too, and I got very excited to learn that Paul was in Manila. I assume that many of you already know about it, so I have not taken photos there.
Manila is a very cosmopolitan city and full of delightful surprises. I feel so fortunate to be able to call Manila our new home.
