When we stayed in Tokyo, we met up with our friends who currently live in Tokyo at Roppongi Crossing, which is a big intersection with Roppongi-dori and Gaien-higashi-dori. From there, our friend guided us to a Thai Restaurant, Krung Siam. It was a lunch time for business people and when we got there, Krung Siam was busy with lunch crowd. We managed to get a seating outside which was very nice. The food was excellent (I thought that the dishes were quite authentic) and the pricing was reasonable (900 yen to 1200 yen for lunch). That’s very important, isn’t it? Our hungry stomachs were very satisfied and catching up with our friends was a lot of fun.
The friends we saw are a married couple from the Netherlands whom we first met when my husband and I moved to Senegal in 2003. We all left Dakar, Senegal after a couple of years and now our Dutch friends live in Tokyo, my home, for a job assignment. We became friends when we didn’t have kids, and now they have twins, a boy and a girl and we have two girls. We didn’t get to meet the kids in person this time, but I see their photos on the blog frequently and they are adorable.
Tokyo is so big that unless you happened to be in Roppongi or near Roppongi, it might be hard to go out there, but if you do go near Roppongi Crossing and you like Thai food, you might want to check out this restaurant. Krung Siam has 4 other shops in Tokyo other than the one in Roppongi. For more information, please click on the names.

I LOVE green curry compared to red. But can never eat them without an icy cold drink beside, lol. My tolerant level for Thai curries are low hence I always ask the waiter to tone it down 🙂

Hey Kaho.. do you speak Japanese with your daughters? =D
Kaho says
Hi, Jessica! I speak to my girls only in Japanese. It can be tough at times, but I try to be consistent as much as I can.

I admire you being able to blog at all now that you are on vacation. Usually I just advance my posts and even then I am still exhausted from trips. How do you sleep sweety? I appreciate your efforts though and thoroughly enjoy reading about your vacay.
P.S. Those stone dolls are the cutest!!!
