Do you like Indian food? My husband and I do! Now our kids are older they started to eat Indian food and it’s nice that we all can enjoy the Indian cuisine together. Kinara in Kemang is one of the restaurants we like to go in town. The owner of Hide-N-Skin, Gerry, is originally from India, so when I asked for recommendation, he recommended Kinara in Kemang for Sunday Brunch. I have not been to their Sunday Brunch yet, but I have been to Kinara a couple of times for lunch and dinner. My culinary experiences as well as dining experiences have always been pleasant and their ambiance makes you feel like you have traveled to some place in India. Kinara is located in the same general area of Kemang as Chic Mart (Indonesian Gift Shop), KOI Kemang (Cafe Restaurant & Furniture Gallery, Western and Asian Food), Anatolia (Turkish/Middle Eastern), A TavoLa (Italian), and dia.lo.gue (Store and Art Gallery), so if you go there, you might want to check out these places as well.
I just learned by looking at Kinara’s homepage that they deliver food to your home as well! Pizza delivery is very common, but it would be a nice change for you to order Indian food, don’t you think?

Speaking of Indian food delivery, there is “tamarind by Tastes of India”, which is also located in Kemang. We’ve used Tamarind by Tastes of India for dinner at home twice in the recent past and it has been great!! I highly recommend this restaurant for delivery as well.

I learned from the Online Family Guide To Jakarta page (BTW, this page is awesome!!) that the owner of Tastes of India, Molina, teaches Indian cooking classes at Jakarta International Community Center. How fun would it be to learn how to make Indian food at home?
同じくケマンにあるtamarind by Tastes of Indiaです。

Tastes of India
Last night we were at the Ben Folds concert in Jakarta with our friends. The two hours of incredible solo performance by Ben Folds was just amazing. Ben Folds is an amazingly talented artist. His talks between songs were witty and funny while his piano performance and singing were outstanding. He worked the Indonesian crowd which was really cool to see. His music gave me a sweet taste of feeling back home (my second home, the U.S.).

Have you tried Ganesha ek Sanskriti (http://www.ganeshaeksanskriti.com) ? They also serve Sunday Brunch and I think it’s pretty good too. The locations are in Kemang and BRI II Building. I really like the Sunday Brunch there as they offer a really wide range of Northern Indian Cuisine. Usually I go to the BRI II one, since the location is more convenient from my house. They also have 15% discount for the member. You just need to spend IDR 500k to get the membership, and you’ll get 15% discount for your next visit. Geez, now I sound like I’m the marketing people of Ganesha hahaha…

Kaho, I love Indian food. In here we can get it everyday (but really need to avoid it to eat everyday). I love both North and South Indian style. We normally have Roti Channai or Puri or Naan or Capati with Dhal for Sunday breakfast :). And once in a while banana leaf rice and the complete condiment for dinner. Lovely ambiance too…:)
