Galeri Pot Jakarta
I first learned about Galeri Pot through my blogger friend, The Diplomatic Wife. I remember reading about Galeri Pot in a post about her custom-made teak hallway furniture and there are two Galeri Pot vases she has in the post. I remember thinking to myself that I should go check out the store. Guess what happened? Two years passed and that’s when I finally went to the store. My friends were very surprised that I had never been to Galeri Pot until now. I’m surprised, too… I don’t know why, but sometimes, information slips out of my mind if it’s not urgent.
The other day I had a day with no plans, so I hopped in my car and went to Galeri Pot on Kemang Timur (East Kemang). I walked into Galeri Pot and instantly loved the shop. Galeri Pot is beautiful. What’s even cooler and surprising about Galeri Pot is that their prices are very reasonable.
If someone asks me where I would recommend a newly arrived person to shop for home decor, Galeri Pot would definitely be in the top 5 of my list of places to go for shopping.
I purchased a pottery candle holder on the left in the photo below. It was only IDR 65,000! I love it and I’m tempted to go back to Galeri Pot to buy more of these white candle holders.
I’m debating whether I should buy a lamp below in white or not. My Swedish friend has it and I love it. You can see the white version here.

Kaho, the white lamp is so gorgeous!! I would buy it :D. How much is it?
You keep finding so many interesting shops in Kemang! Have you been to Lanka? That’s not too far from Huize Van Welly. They sell wooden arts & craft just like Chic Mart, only the store is smaller compared to Chic Mart.

I think the lamp was around 550.000 Rp. if I remember correctly. I love it, too! I’ll have to check with them again.
No, I haven’t been to Lanka yet. Thanks for telling me about Lanka.

OMG Kaho…I just saw this now! What an awesome post! Guess what?? I was just there taking pictures YESTERDAY afternoon while bringing a friend over to check it out. LOL! I am afraid our pictures will look the same! I promise I didn’t copy you haha! =P
I love Galeri Pot and I keep telling everyone who will listen about it, but I only took pics with my SLR yesterday… because your tweet to me reminded me of something I’ve been putting of for so long. I too ask myself why I only did it now, when it’s one of my absolute favorite places for home decor in Jakarta – because of how beautiful and reasonably priced everything is.
I am glad you loved it, and I got to introduce you to something… since you always introduce me to the coolest places via your blog. =D

We’ve been driving along Kemang Timur recently and we saw a lot of promising shops. I’ll go back there again soon. We need to furnish our new place.
Thank you for this… and you take really great pictures too! 🙂

Thank you!! I love Kemang Timur. I feel that I need to walk on that street. I think you’ll like Confetti on Kemang Timur as well.
