The photos above show how I decorated our dining room with gold and silver decorative items. It’s quite similar to how I decorated our dining room in 2011. You can see the photos of the decoration in 2011 here. The post has some photos from the New Year’s as well.
Our living room is decorated mainly with silver decoration. I first decorated our dining table with silver items, but the way I decorated looked too plain, so I switched with gold decoration for the dining table and it looked much better. Lastly, below is the photo of our tree for 2012. You might have noticed that we didn’t put many ornaments on the bottom. It is because our baby is crawling and pulls whatever he sees in his sight. He’s 9 months now. He’s just busy all the time.
It’s hard to believe that this year is the last year for us to celebrate Christmas in Jakarta. How time flies…

Love the decorations! Which reminds me I need to start thinking about mine. Here in Holland is is customary to only do the decorations after the 6th of December due to the Sinterklaas celebrations that are today and tomorrow.

Beautiful decor! My home is in a state of flux right now. With 3 kids and one of them being a new walker there is always a mess! Do you manage to keep your place looking neat or is your reality the same as mine? LOL =)
Kaho says
Thanks for stopping by, Liz! I have 3 kids and mine is a new crawler. He’s into everything. I remember this stage with my older two and it wasn’t my favorite although it’s a really cute stage. I am very fortunate to live in a country where I can afford to have a domestic help… That’s how I keep things tidy and dust free, but my older two kids are responsible for tidying up after their mess. I teach them that the domestic help is working for their parents, not for them.
