This outfit my son is wearing was given to my son by my very sweet Japanese friend that I met in Singapore. It’s an outfit from Château de sable. She was so nice to get an outfit for him. I love it when he wears it and I think of my friend in Singapore. My son looks like a big boy in a shirt and shorts, doesn’t he? The colors are soft and pretty and the texture is very comfortable, too.
息子が着ているのは、Château de sable(シャトー・ドゥ・サーブル/砂の城)というブランドの服です。
Château de sable is a clothing brand that was started by a French designer Stephanie Lemaire. Château de sable means “sand castle” in French and their logo is an adorable sand castle which is on their lovely gift boxes as well. She started her brand when she lived in Singapore if I remember correctly. Now she has stores in many countries. If you live in Jakarta and have a chance to visit Singapore, Château de sable is a stop you might want to make. Everything in her store is gorgeous. The website for Château de sable is also very pretty. Below is their website that was for the holiday season.
This blue overall outfit was given to my son by my French blogger friend, Marie of Etincelle Creative Studio. She’s the one who first introduced me to Château de sable. I met her through Blogging Your Way by decor8 blog and then I met in real life when I lived in Singapore for child birth for a couple of months last year. I was lucky that I got to meet her in person because she left Singapore a little after I had come back to Jakarta and currently she resides in Tokyo, Japan (my home town!) with her family.
While I was in Singapore with my middle child to prepare for child birth, Marie even invited my daughter to her two children’s pirate theme birthday party. She designs party for others, so I was thrilled to see her creation of a pirate theme birthday party! The bunting in my son’s nursery was also a gift from Marie and she made it. She’s one talented lady.
Baby clothes can only be worn for so long. I hope my son won’t grow too fast. I would even use the outfits as a decoration in the room after he outgrows them. I love them so much!

I LOVE this brand and I always wish I’ve a daughter to dress them in their beautiful dresses and outfits! Lucky you, you’ve 2….. Alas, I only have a boy but I still shop there and I think they’re very reasonably priced.

I think their boy clothes are darling. I wish Chateau de sable has a store in Jakarta. I think it’ll do very well here!

Your little boy is sooo adorable! It seems like you’ve just given birth a while ago, yet he’s grown so fast… in awe :0
Btw, I think they have Chateu de Sable in Jakarta at Plaza Indonesia 3F, where they have the playground area, trains, and all sorts of kiddy shops 🙂

Thanks, Tazki! He’s slowly but surely growing. He’s huge! Thank you so much for the information!! I love it when my readers tell me the info that I don’t know! I remember that area. I will have to go check it out!

Kaho, Chateau de Sable did have a store here in Jakarta; about 3-5 years ago, it was in PIM 2. Now the store is closed and changed into a coffee shop, opposite Zara. I think I may have seen it somewhere else, but I’m not so sure; too many malls here in Jakarta hehehe..

Fenny, thanks for letting me know! PIM 2 would’ve been so nice to have Chateau de Sable!! I love that shopping mall. Too bad it closed. I heard from jakartalovestory that she saw at Plaza Indonesia. I might have to go check it out!

wow he’s grown so much since I last read a post about him! Is he walking/ cruising already!? Early bloomer sure is 🙂
Kaho says
He’s cruising already, but he’s also already 10 months. He’s not walking yet, but if he holds onto a toy we have, he can walk… I am not ready for it yet!

Cute boy! My daughter is about the same age, will turn 1 next week. I thought of keeping her baby clothes for decorations too. I can’t seem to part ways with her cute baby clothes.
Love your blog, by the way. After so many years living in the states, we moved back a few months ago and stumbled upon your blog while looking for furnitures ( we ended up buying few pieces from Koi, thanks! )
And thanks for keeping us informed of new places, we are a bit clueless since Jakarta has changed a lot.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I appreciate your kind words and encouraging comment! I bet this city looks very different to you since you have been away for so long. Even in the past 2.5 years of my stay, things have changed very quickly and I’m constantly learning about new places and places that are gone!
