You might have heard of the product voluntary recall of Bumbo seat. I love the Bumbo seat and so does my son, so I wasn’t going to give it up. I heard from my friend about the recall soon after it made the news and she mentioned the repair kit. Before I heard about the recall, I actually started to wonder if my son could wiggle himself out of the chair as he started arching his back in the seat which made me think that he could eventually pop out of it. Sure enough, he did. Ironically two days after we heard about the recall. Since we have a marble floor, my son planted his face on the hard surface. Ouch. The seat was on the floor, so he was fine.
I’m very impressed. I received a repair kit for our Bumbo seat and as you can see, I put it onto the Bumbo seat. It is well designed in terms of the ease of adding it.
Now he has the belt, it’ll secure him in the seat. Brilliant. It was very easy to repair. I love the Bumbo seat even more!

I had not heard about the recall! Thanks so much for posting as I just started putting Kate in her Bumbo a few days ago . . . and usually I put her up on a kitchen counter or like you, on the marble floor

When he was younger, we used to put him up on the table, but now no. You might want to go to their website and order a kit as well. It’s free and gives you peace of mind.

Hi.. I came by your website thru the Fatma article you wrote. Love your page. My girl using Bumbo seat too. Just for info, they send worldwide for the repair kit when you’re in Indonesia? Thanks.

Thank you!! I actually had the repair kit mailed to an address in the U.S. and had it forwarded. You might want to check it with the maker directly. Bumbo is such a big company that I wouldn’t be surprised if they mail the kit to international postage.
