This is my girls’ bedroom. We were provided with a bunk bed from my husband’s office as the room is quite small for two beds. It works great. My younger daughter, who is two, used to sleep in her crib up till the end of this past June and now sleeps on the lower level of the bunk bed. She fell off the bed once and landed on the marble floor. Now I tuck in the blanket under the mattress and she hasn’t fallen off the bed since then.
I don’t know if you can tell, but the wall is painted with a very subtle pink paint. I bought the paint at ACE Hardware in Pasaraya in Jakarta. I picked a color “City of Angels (D4-3)”. I looked at the color sample here on the ACE Hardware’s web page “Colors For Your Life” and the color I see on this page under the name “City of Angel” is different from the color I bought at ACE store here. The photos I took did not show the true color of the room. The color is very close to “Think Pink (A6-2)” on the ACE Hardware’s paint color sample page.
The reason for picking this color was because my kids wanted a pink room, but I am not a huge fan of pink colors. I do like some shades of pink and this tone was one of the pink shades that I like. It gives a soft and sweet look to the room.

kawaiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!
It’s a real shame that you are not HERE with me!!!! I would love to have you look at my housing and give me advice….
I would love to think of the way to decorate your house with you!
Ooh didn’t think the crocheted night lamp could create a nice mood lighting… LIKE!
Btw, you could easily add interior decorating skills to your list of talents 🙂
That’s so sweet of you to say that. Thank you…
Love, love, love that lamp shade! It is adorable and the bed linen is beautiful.
Thanks! I spent a month thinking about it and decided to buy. I’m happy about my decision.
Mimi looks well-loved! Love that warm and cozy glow from the lamps at night too.
What a pretty soft shade of pink on the walls and I love the quilt covers – perfect for a little girls’ room x
Kaho! I love the room! I am obsessed with that Liberty of London’s print. E has a hat, a dress and a bikini in that color, and I got one of the acrylic trays. I actually had the bin in my cart once. How funny! The room is just perfect. You always do such a great job.
I love everything about it! It’s girly enough, (love the little sandals on the wall to hang bags) and functional. You really have the eye for interior design.
we always choose home interiors with bright colors because the mood is uplifting .,’
Dear Kaho,
Love what you did with the kid’s room. Amazing transformation. Did you know that the white magnetic board and the under the bed storage were both on my list for Ikea too but they ran out of the storage and we wanted to stick to our budget. For sure I’ll be getting them in May in Sg!
Do they have modern minimalist styles also in Cahaya? I’d love to check it out for lamps in the future! And how are the prices. So far the cheapest table lamp I’ve found here in Jakarta is 375,000 idr. Are their table lamps cheaper?
Hi! They do have a few modern minimalist styles, but I think their specialization is not necessarily modern minimalist. You can see their collection here. http://chuzailiving.wordpress.com/2010/09/12/cahaya/
Another place you might want to check out is Lampu Lampu.

At both Cahaya and Lampu Lampu they take order-made. At Lampu Lampu I found a table lamp I love with a modern minimalist design which costs Rp. 750.000. I saw a very similar lamp on a catalog in the States and it cost about $200. Unfortunately I do not find anything with IKEA prices here. ACE also has some cool lamps.
Yes the lamp I got for 375k was from Ace hehe. Thanks for the info!!
