My daughter got a beautiful batik shirt for her birthday from her friends. Batik is a cloth that is traditionally made using a manual wax-resist dyeing technique in Indonesia. The mom has a great taste and she knows all the great places to shop and dine. She’s the one who picked a gorgeous cafe, Huize van Wely in Papillion in Kemang for a farewell tea, which I posted about the other day. I would want one myself if it comes in an adult size. I love it. So does she. So stylish and beautiful, don’t you think?

hai Kaho….
I really enjoy your Friday Finds articles.
But since you are still in Jakarta I’d like to recomend you the Tugu Hotels Restaurants in Jakarta. They are very unique, antique, with very strong Indonesian atmosphere. You can check it at http://www.tuguhotels.com. I really love it there and the price is reasonable. My husband and I find it fascinating. Dinner for 2 is about USD 30.

Ike, thanks for your recommendation! I am always on a look for a new place although with 3 kids and the youngest being so small, I don’t get to go out so often. Thank you for reading my blog, too!!

Mel, thank you for the comment! I just sent a message to my Japanese friend in Jakarta who bought it for my daughter. I will let you know where she bought it.
