Halloween is approaching, but this was not for Halloween. My husband and I had a chance to go to an Arabian Night Party and it was fabulous. What a great theme to pick! Many guests showed up in costume as requested and the hosts went the whole nine yard to decorate a tent with arabian theme. It was breathtaking. It felt like I was in Morocco or somewhere in the Middle East. As you can see from the photos, the decoration was impeccable. There was a band that played a live music and belly dancers performed. The food was catered from Turkuaz, the Turkish restaurant that I recently featured on my blog.
My husband and I went to check out some costumes on the day of the party. We first checked out the Flex Point costume store on Fatmawati Street. They had a lot of costumes, but they were packed and it was difficult to go through items. Since many people who went to the same party used this costume store to rent a costume, by the time my husband and I got there on the day of the party, most of the items were picked out and I didn’t see anything I could wear. Then we drove over to the costume store on Jl. Kemang Raya. It was a much more organized-looking store, but their selection was definitely smaller than the one in Fatmawati. It was easier to see the choices and I did find a costume I liked though. So did my husband. I will list the reference for costume rental below.

ハロウィンが間近になってきますが、今回はハロウィン関係ではありません。アラビアの夜のテーマのパーティーに、夫と一緒に行く機会がありました。パーティーはとても素晴らしかったです。アラビアって、すごく良いテーマですね。招待客の多くがアラビア風の衣装に身を纏い、ホストはアラビアのテーマのパーティーのために立てたテントの中をアラビア風に飾りました。中に居るだけで、自分がどこに居るか分からないくらい飾りが徹底していました。バンドは生演奏を行い、ベリーダンサーのパフォーマンスがありました。お食事は、先日私がブログに記載したトルコアーズからのケータリングでした。
夫と私はパーティーの当日になってパーティーに必要な仮装用の衣装を借りに行きました。最初ファトゥマワティにあるフレックスという貸衣装のお店へ行きました。お店自に沢山衣装はあったのですが、ぎゅう詰めになっていて、少し探しにくい感じがしました。同じパーティーに行く人たちの多くが、ファトゥマワティのお店で衣装を借りたようで、残っていたアラビア風の衣装が残念ながらかなり先取りされていました。そこで、クマン・ラヤにある貸衣装屋さんへ行きました。そこで、夫も私も借りたいと思う衣装を借りる事ができました。クマンのお店は、ファトゥマワティのお店に比べて小規模で種類も少なかったのですが、商品が見やすく選びやすかったです。コスチュームのお店の所在を記載しておきますので、参考にどうぞ。

My older one thought that I was wearing a princess costume. She loved seeing us in costumes. Our second one fell asleep while we were getting ready, so she didn’t get to see us in costumes! My older one was very surprised when I came down with such different make up. I had so much and since it’s not how I wear my usual make-up, her eyes got big. 🙂
