Wildflour A Bakery Cafe in Makati Manila
Wildflour is a stylish bakery cafe where we went for breakfast one day in Makati, Manila. I instantly loved it even before I walked in because I was able to see the trendy industrial interior design of the cafe from the big glass windows from the street. It reminded me a little of KOI Restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia and it made me miss it.
We love having a weekend brunch as a family. My husband and I ordered hot latte. You can order 4 pastries to have at the table at Wildflour, so my family members ordered 4 pains au chocolat. In hindsight it was not necessary or we should have asked for them to-go because we ordered so much warm food that we actually could not finish what we had on our plates.
The Brioche French Toast at Wildflour was rich and delicious. If you are looking for a french toast, it will satisfy your appetite.
This below plate is German pancakes. It was a dish quite similar to crepes and delicious! Inside was lemon yogurt creme and pieces of mango, my kids favorite fruit. It was super yummy! I cut them first and then realized that I had not taken photos yet, so you see the cut lines.
It is definitely a place that we will go back and bring our friends.
As for our move, our first month in Manila has been very smooth and amazing. We have definitely hit normal bumps in the paths to get settled into a new city and home. This initial beginning period requires a lot of patience. As I get older, I realize I’m not as patient. I don’t have as much energy as I used to have, either. One of my friends said something that shifted my perspective, though. She said she likes the initial period when you don’t have any schedule and commitments. It is true. I have an excuse not to get involved with anything because I need to set up my home first. I should enjoy this as much as I can!
