Some of you must have thought what has happened to my blog? Or me? I am alive. I have been absent from blogging for over a month and I feel terrible. After having left a nice life with domestic helpers, I haven’t had time to blog since it’s been a hectic month due to a big international move. Also, it’s a lot of work to take care of 3 kids!! Sadly we bid farewell to our home for 3 years in Jakarta on June 5 and now we are in a transition period until August.
Even in the middle of the busy move, I was determined to get some fabric scraps to frame and use them to decorate our new home. I figure that it would be an inexpensive way to find a wall decor as framing in Indonesia is cheaper than in the States or in Japan. In fact, it was very reasonable to make frames at Nice Frames. I managed to find some time to go to Nice Frame in Cilandak, South Jakarta to have some fabric scraps framed. The fabric scraps were from my friend, Mira, the owner of Le Souq. Thanks, Mira!! She is so sweet to give me some fabric as a gift. I have pictures of them after they were framed. What do you think?
Below is the end result done by Nice Frame. I was very pleased with the outcome. What do you tink?
I cannot wait to decorate my new home with these frames!!
The best part for me especially to have the fabric framed was the delivery service. Nice Frame delivers the framed items to your home! I placed an order when I was very busy trying to get ready for a big pack-out. Nice Frame delivered the frames to my house! This service to me was a key to decide to have the fabric scraps framed right before we packed out from Jakarta. Thank you, Nice Frame!!

Koho, nice to see your post again! Thank you for sharing the new place with me! Sometime ago you recommended Glory Frames and I re-framed many of my paintings with them. I definitely will try this place too, their interior looks nice. I also like your idea of framing the fabric!

Thanks, Oxana!! Majority of my frames were done by Glory Frame, too. It’s much closer from my home in Jakarta and Simon did a great job. I didn’t find out about Nice Frame until recently. Since there are many expats in Cilandak area, I thought it would be handy for them to have a frame shop they can go to very easily. As I wrote, delivery service is a huge plus. Hope all is well with you!

Your fabrics have framed up beautifully. I wish you a smooth transition to hanging them on the walls of your new home. Moving is always hard work isn’t it but with three children and the international aspect thrown in I’m surprised you even managed to access your blog never mind create a lovely post. As a coincidence, I am just in the process of getting an Indian framer to stretch and frame some batiks I brought back here from Jogjakarta, they deliver too : ) Good luck with the moving and settling in process.

Thank you, Amie! You were in Jogjakarta! I will have to get the information about the Indian framer you use. Delivery service rocks. We are getting more and more excited about moving to Mumbai. Hopefully flight from the States to Mumbai will easy and smooth. That’s all I need!

Good day! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe
guest authoring a blog article or vice-versa? My site covers a lot of the
same subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other.
If you are interested feel free to shoot me an
email. I look forward to hearing from you! Great blog by the way!
