5/9 At Trupsel
Two fabulous designers of Trupsel, an Indo-western and Indian fashion brand, and entrepreneurs, Trupti and Preeti, recently launched a new western clothing brand called 5/9 at Trupsel. Trupti and Preeti are also sisters who are incredibly talented, stylish, and friendly. I had a pleasure of getting to know them thanks to our mutual friend, Rachel, who connected us in Mumbai. I modeled for the 5/9 at Trupsel. You can see the photos of the clothes which I got to wear and whose photos were taken by the photographer, Anthony D’Souza in this post. My photo shoot was before Anjuli’s, who is a friend of Trupti and Preeti, and another 5/9 model shown in this post. I stuck around after I finished my photo shoot so that I can take in-action shots at Anjuli’s photo shoot.
The location for the photo shoot was at a beautiful vacant room in a building in Colaba which used to be used as an old store for Bangalow 8. The room was stunning and filled with a cool vibe with grooving back ground music. I loved modeling for the very first time in such environment. As a fashion lover, I have always dreamed about modeling. Needless to say, it was a monumental dream-come-true experience of my life at age 40. Life brings surprises, doesn’t it?
It was interesting to be in front of a camera because I am usually the one who takes my own fashion photos at home using a timer. I loved being a model. Not only did I get to see the new collection of 5/9 before they were launched, but I also got to wear their gorgeous clothes! The clothes made me feel stylish and sophisticated at the same time. Their cut, textiles, style, colors, and more make you feel instantly fashionable and good about yourself. I don’t know many clothes that can do that magic to you.
After my photo shoot had been done, I grabbed my camera and stood near or behind the photographer, Anthony, to shadow his move since Trupti and Preeti allowed me to take photos of the photo shoot. I was fortunate enough to have such a great opportunity for me to learn how he situated himself as a photographer to shoot a model and what angle he’ll use. There is nothing better than learning firsthand by following a professional photographer’s shooting. I tried not to be in his way to disturb his work and that was harder than I thought. I hope you will enjoy seeing “behind the scene” shots. If you scroll down, you will see some of the final photographs done by Anthony D’Souza for 5/9 with Anjuli at the end of this post. Enjoy!
