Micky Tan Mint Green Sari Dress
This Micky Tan’s mint green and black sari dress is the second of her 4 dresses in the recent collection. Micky is a talented designer friend of mine from Malaysia whom I met in Mumbai, India. The first dress I tried on was in royal blue. This second dress has two of my favorite colors: mint green and black. I would have not thought of these two colors to combine together, but I realized that they actually looked lovely together. Black gives soft mint green a nice punch to the design. For an Asian person like myself with black hair, I think that mint green with black actually ties the color of hair to the pastel color. The beads embroidery on the corset is very pretty. I especially love the net top which is separate from the corset, thus you can choose to wear the corset by itself or with the net. I personally prefer wearing the net with the corset.
I tried the dress on with different styles of shoes. They make a difference, don’t they? I had a pair of pointed black shoes, but I forgot about them on the day of a photo shoot. I love high heel shoes for their looks and how they make you look tall and leaner. However, they feel so uncomfortable. I can’t imagine wearing them for hours. The sacrifice many women make for their fashion is amazing!!
Here are two blog posts that I found online that shows the tricks you can do to make your heals more comfortable to wear.
